We’re Anna McKinnon and Paul Souza, two childhood friends that spent their time travelling around our home state of Florida, and eventually began travelling the world together.
Anna and Paul met in their freshman year of high school, and began planning out their vacations together the following year.
Collectively, they’ve been to 41 different countries and over 200 cities over the last decade.
Anna: My father was a military man. I believe we lived in nine different states before I was thirteen, but it’s hard to say.
We moved around a lot, and instead of getting bummed out about it, I saw it as an opportunity to continue exploring.
I suppose it’s why I’ve never lived in the same house for more than a year at a time; I like the new experiences, being immersed in a new culture, and living in new neighborhoods.
Paul: Ever since my parents and I came to America in 2003, I’ve remembered our trip from Brazil to Florida fondly.
It was fantastic meeting new people, watching the transition of our old lifestyle and the new landscapes of America over the course of about a week or so.
I loved the idea of travelling often ever since that day, and now I get to do that and write about it?
Are you kidding me?
It’s living the dream.
They’ll continue to pour all of their available funding into new ventures and experiences, and report it all back to you right here on Your Travel Whisperer.
